We feel that too many companies are happy to accept money from gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender customers, only to turn around and support anti-gay organizations or continue discriminatory policies toward their LGBT employees.  The purpose of this website is to put more power into the hands of LGBT consumers and our friends and family.  Every time you shop through our site, you remind businesses how important the support of LGBT customers and employees really is.  Our mission is to promote companies that already support the LGBT commmunity, and ultimately encourage more companies to adopt policies that support equality.

How do you know these businesses are gay-friendly?

Every business we partner with has earned recognition for their support of the LGBT community.  Many have received top honors from the Human Rights Campaign, and some have been acknowledged for their gay-friendly advertising. 

What kinds of products or companies are included in the member newsletter?

We feature special product reviews and offers from all kinds of companies, as long as they support equal rights for their employees and customers.  We feature fashion, travel companies and airlines, entertainment, home furnishings and accessories, online dating sites, and more.  Even if you already shop with companies in our newsletter, you will still save money and send a message to gay-friendly companies that you appreciate their support. 

Do I have to be a member to use ShopEqualRights.com?

No.  Non-members will save money while supporting gay-friendly businesses by shopping with our advertised companies.  Membership just offers access to additional benefits through our monthly email newsletter.  Membership also supports the mission of ShopEqualRights.com so we can continue to create more partnerships and promote equality through gay-friendly companies.    

I'm not lesbian, gay, bisexual, or transgender, but I'd love to support equal rights.  Can I become a member?

Absolutely!  We're all about inclusion and fairness.
